Edna Alline Yarbrough, 97, of Jackson passed away 6:55 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was a former resident of the Sidonia community.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2024. Burial will follow in Alamo Cemetery.

Edna was born February 24, 1926, in Obion County, daughter of the late Charlie Thomas and Verline (Hill) Brooks. She married Lewis Yarbrough February 5, 1982. He preceded her in death in 1989. Edna had been worked as a farmer in her younger years, had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company and had been a beautician. She was a member of Alamo Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Abell and husband Jim of Jackson; one sister, Louise Roberts of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Kim Kirkpatrick and husband Steve of Livermoore, California and Tony Abell and wife Allison of Lombard, Illinois; and five great grandchildren, Kevin Abell, Logan Abell, Madison Kirkpatrick, Kaitlin Kirkpatrick and Stephanie Kirkpatrick.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Williams; one sister, Evelyn McCullar; and four brothers, Arthur Brooks, Paul Brooks, Sam Brooks and C.T. Brooks.
