The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, Ohio. Rev. John Guliano will officiate.

Mrs. Loyd was born May 28, 1916, in Glenmont, Ohio, daughter of the late Hershel L. and Flora E. (Miller) Jones. She married George D. Loyd on January 10, 1948. He died July 21, 1973. She had been the owner/operator of the former Edna's Beauty Salon and a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church both in Ashland. Mrs. Loyd was a longtime member of the former Fireside Sewing Club. She enjoyed making afghans, quilts and doing embroidery work.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Pete Parker of Union City; three step grandsons, David Parker and Dwight Parker both of Akron, Ohio and Gregory Parker of Plano, Texas; and three step great grandchildren, Joshua Parker, Mariah Parker and Anna Parker all of Plano, Texas.

She was preceded in death by two brother; Earl Jones and Glen Jones.
