Edith Lorraine Montgomery, 83, of Union City passed away 10:53 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at AHC Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Edith was born November 13, 1940, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, daughter of the late Howard and Annie Lee (Carlton) Moonyham. She had been employed as a USDA inspector at Williams Sausage.

She is survived by one son, Bryant Dunn of Shelbyville; one step daughter, Roxie Rudd of Union City; one sister, Loretta Hoff of Glen Ullin, North Dakota; two grandchildren, Robert Fortner of Paris and Tonya Wilbanks of Union City; and several great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, David Cook Boyles; and one daughter, Stephanie Boyles.
