Edward Guy "Ed" Roberson, 87, of Hornbeak passed away 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Kevin Thomason will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Ed was born July 6, 1935, in Troy, son of the late Leggel Guy and Elsie Lorraine (Carpenter) Roberson. He married Betty Sue (Wheatley) Roberson July 5, 1958. She survives. Ed retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. He had been employed at Ford Construction and Hillcrest Elementary. Ed was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Troy, Woodmen of The World and the American Legion.

He is also survived by two daughters, Velma Tate (David) of Hornbeak and Jennifer Roberson (Russell Blassingame) of Troy; two sons, Guy Roberson (Cathy) of Troy and Bobby Joe Roberson (Christy) of Obion; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Tim Roberson; and one great granddaughter, Debra Roberson.
