Mr. Ed Harper, 96, of Troy passed away 11:45 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2020, at AHC of Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy. Rev. Judd Mowery will officiate. There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ed was born August 7, 1923, in Marshall, Texas, son of the late Ed and Elizabeth (Tucker) Harper. He retired after 20 years in the United States Navy as a Chief Hospital Corpsman. Ed was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He had served as a nursing home and hospital administrator after his military service. Ed was an avid gardener and had been the owner and operator of the former Dunsailin Greenhouse in Troy. He was a member of Troy United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Evelyn (Hopper) Harper on July 11, 2018; and eleven brothers and sisters.
