Sherry Earlene Virgin, 79, of Union City passed away 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at South Fulton Baptist Church. Dr. Ron Cox will officiate.

Visitation will be held at South Fulton Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Sherry was born June 12, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Earl and Lillian (Buley) Morgan. She had been employed at Wal Mart and was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Deanna Reams (Charlie) of South Fulton and Diana Payne of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one son, Dallas Virgin (Brandy) of Union City; one daughter-in-law, Sarah Virgin of Sedalia, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Audrey Virgin of South Fulton, Loren Sowell (Niki Calhoun) of South Fulton, Landon Sowell (Amy) of Jacksonville, Florida, Jalen Sowell (Elizabeth) of Columbia, Carly Reams of Martin, D.J. Virgin (Melissa) of Troy, Madison Virgin of Union City, and Sebastian Payne, Zandra Payne and Jett Payne all of Benton, Kentucky; 10 great grandchildren, Alliyah Brackey (Luke), Ashlyn Virgin, Kennon Woods, Keira Woods, Braxton Virgin, Mila Virgin, Cruz Sowell, Vivian Sowell, Aria Sowell and Matthew Sowell; and one great grandson, Remmington Brackey.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Virgin; one son, Danny Virgin; and one granddaughter, Abby Woods.
