Mr. Dwayne William "Smokey" Stover, 83, of Union City passed away 1:23 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2015, at Union City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Cecil Sewell will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Alan Faircloth, Tyler Tankersley, Max Hardin, Calvin Cary, Roger Woodward and Jerry Grady.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ashley Faircloth and Royce Barker.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to

Mr. Stover was born May 27, 1932, in Obion County, son of the late Jesse Arley and Mary Cauzelle (Tyler) Stover. He married June (Grady) Stover March 16, 1956. She survives. Mr. Stover had been employed as a salesman at Sears in Union City for 21 years, a salesman for Williams Sausage Company and retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He was a United States Army veteran who served in the Korean War. Mr. Stover was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City and a member of Union City Masonic Lodge 538 F&AM, Al Chymia Shriners and the American Legion Milton Talley Post 20.
He also survived by his daughter, Pam Stover Tankersley of Union City; two grandchildren and the spouse of one, Dr. Ashley Michelle Tankersley Faircloth and Lloyd Alan Faircloth, Jr. of Madisonville, Louisiana and William Tyler Tankersley of Union City; his sister, Devonna Garner of Bradford; and his brother, Dalton Stover of Germantown.
