Harold Douglas "Doug" Blakley, 75, of Samburg passed away 12:13 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2021, at Cobbs Chapel Cemetery. Bobby Joe Smith will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Timbo Smith, Corey Goodman, Larry Gene Davis, Frankie Blakley and Bubba Smith.

Doug was born May 1, 1945, in Dyer County, son of the late Jack and Lois (Doss) Blakley. He had been employed as a farmer.

He is survived by one daughter, Christy Hill (Dana Buchanan) of Hickman, Kentucky; four sons, Billy Blakley and Jamie Hill both of Union City, Bruce Lee of Hawaii and Frankie Blakley (April) of Samburg; two sisters, Virgie O'Steen of Union City and Dorothy Bingham of Samburg; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Blakley; three sisters, Ruby Butler, Peggy Spencer and Lilly Rainey; and one brother, John Blakley.
