Mrs. Dorothy Lou "Dottie" Bennett, 80, of Union City passed away 4:20 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2020, at AHC of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Obion. Brother Dave Chaffin will officiate. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery near Elbridge.

Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church in Obion from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Smith, Johnny Martin, Kenny Gurien, Jim Gurien, Chad Priest and Landon Priest.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bennett was born August 29, 1939, in Dyersburg, daughter of the late James Caldwell and Martha Elizabeth (Gurien) Hambrick. She married Jerry Bennett August 29, 1970. He passed away June 5, 2003. She worked for many years as a cook in Obion County. She was a member of the Obion Community Club and member of Obion First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Michelle King (Robert) of Shawtown; one son, Donald Huey of Obion; three grandchildren, Bennett King (Rachel) of San Angelo, Texas, Laura King of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Mary Grace King of Shawtown.
