Dorothy Phillips, 80, of the Crystal community passed away 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Nathaniel Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery near Union City.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Reuben Morphis, Curtis Merritt, Mark Merritt, Shane Jones, Tom Phillips, Jonathan Seaman, Donald Seaman, Jr. and Ian Ferguson.

Dorothy was born April 13, 1941, in Peoria, Illinois, daughter of the late Harold Wayne Seaman and Blanche Marie (Bayler) Seaman Little. She married Ray Phillips December 21, 1975. He survives. Dorothy had been employed as a cook at the former Little Dixie and Dixie Barn in Union City. She was a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.

She is also survived by one son, Darrell Seaman of Washington, Illinois; two daughters, Rhonda Merritt (Mark) and Kelly Jones (Shane) all of Union City; one sister, Virginia Leach of Delavan, Illinois; five grandchildren, Curtis Merritt of Martin, Dakota Merritt of Woodland Mills, Reuben Morphis of Union City, Hannah Peterson of Chillicothe, Illinois and Jonathan Seaman (Isabella) of Mapleton, Illinois; and three great grandchildren, Austin Youngblood of Woodland Mills and Torin Seaman and Finn Seaman both of Mapleton, Illinois.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Dale Seaman on January 16, 2022; and one brother, Donald Seaman, Sr.
