Dorothy Elizabeth Hale, 49, of Union City passed away 9:34 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Tom Quimby will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery near Union City.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Dorothy was born July 21, 1967, in Kennett, Missouri, daughter of the late William and Pearlie June (McDonald) Lucas. She worked for Pemiscot County Sheriff's office as the first female deputy and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
She is survived by one daughter and fiancé, Bridget Hale and David Joyce, Jr.; her fiancé, Michael Thompson of Woodland Mills and his family, Dennis and Rose Williams of Woodland Mills, Karl, Sandy and Kelsey Johnson of Union City and Dan Thompson of Woodland Mills; and a large extended family, with many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
