Mrs. Dorothy L. Dotson, 80, of Union City passed away 8:50 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m.Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Albert McCadney and Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will be in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until service time Monday.

Dorothy was born May 28, 1941, in Obion County, daughter of the late Alvis "Doc" and Thelma (Tidwell) Daniel. She married Walter Joe Dotson June 30, 1961. He preceded her in death February 11, 2016. Dorothy had been employed at the former Salant & Salant and retired from the cafeteria at Union City High School and First Baptist Church in Union City where she was a cook. She was also a cook at Trudy's Kids Café and was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Craig (Billy) of Union City; one son, Michael Joe Dotson (Tina) of Kenton; six grandchildren, Tiffany Pollock (Matthew) and Zach Miller (Megan) all of Troy, Heather Dial of Rives, Paige Thornton of Kenton, Patrick Davis (Laura) of Martin and Clayton Craig (Jayda) of Dyer; fifteen great grandchildren, Ashanti Pollock, Mireya Pollock, Waylie Pollock, Peyton Miller, Greyson Miller and Porter Miller all of Troy, Gage Dial and Aubree Dial both of Rives, Raelynn Culver, Makinley Thornton and Gavin Thornton all of Kenton, Ainsley Phillips and Brayden Davis both of Martin and Adalyn Craig and Avery Craig both of Dyer; her sister-in-law, Janice Daniel of Union City, and two brothers-in-law, Fred and Shelby Dotson of Union City and Horace and Lou Dotson of Troy.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Alvis Daniel, Jr.
