Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy Nell Cranford, 84, of the Harris Station community passed away 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Van Ayer Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Bradley Hodges will officiate. Burial will follow at Cranford Family Cemetery near South Fulton.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Dorothy was born March 24, 1932, in Trenton, daughter of the late Clarence and Maudie (Preslar) Powell. She was married to George Cranford, He passed away July 9, 2006. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Faith Deliverance Church in South Fulton.

She is survived by two daughers, Vicky (Tommy) Parks of South Fulton, Scarlett (Phillip) Pennington of Symsonia, Ky.; one son, Ricky (Laura) Cranford of South Fulton; six grandchildren, Joey Long of Minnesota, Eva Russom of Nashville, Tonya Parks of Blairs, Va., Trent Parks of Martin, Justin Cranford of South Fulton and Brandi Worthen of Mayfield, Ky.; six great grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Poole of Yorkville.

She is also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jessica Cranford; three brothers, Manuel Overall, Wallace Powell and Bobby Powell and four sisters, Helen Overall, Caroline Powell, Syble Pafford and Geraldine Powell.
