Doris Fay Thompson, 75, of Fulton, Kentucky passed away 12:18 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2020, at the Obion County Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Fremont Cemetery near Union City. Brother Henry Callison will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Doris was born June 22, 1945, in the Walnut Log community, daughter of the late Clarence and Eurene (Golden) McCollum. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Dana Thompson Wright (Chris) of Union City; one son, Danny Thompson, Jr. of Union City; three grandchildren, Terra Thompson Young and Peyton Neyland Lee Wright both of Union City and William Blake Thompson of Hickman, Kentucky; two great grandsons, Hunter Young and Dylan Young; one great granddaughter, Nova Barnes; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Henry Callison of the Brownsville, Kentucky community; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Danny Glynn Thompson, Sr. on May 18, 2019; her son, William Shane Thompson on April 2, 2009; her foster son, Brent Allen Johnson; one sister, Helen Baugher; and five brothers, Marvin McCollum, Alston McCollum, Jerry McCollum, Marion McCollum and Clarence Edward McCollum.
