Doris Johnson's Obituary
Doris (Petty) Johnson, 85, of Union City passed away 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Union City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Isbell, Josh Burton, Matt Webb and Mike Petty.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Hutchens.
Doris was born July 7, 1931, in Obion County, daughter of the late Raymond and Lily (Collins) Petty. She married Millard Henry Johnson November 8, 1947. He passed away June 11, 2009. Doris had been employed at Plymouth Stamping Company for 15 years prior to moving to Union City in 1980. She was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandra and Paul Riley and Tina Isbell all of Union City; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steve Johnson of South Fulton and Danny and Gail Johnson of Brighton, Michigan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, R.C. and Pam Petty of Sharon and Jim and Martha Petty of South Fulton; one sister, Barbara Clark of Canton, Michigan; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Jody Johnson; three grandchildren, Matthew Riley, Jessica Johnson and Jason Johnson; one sister, Margaret Glover; and three brothers, Rollie Petty, Dennis Petty and Lloyd Petty.
