Donald Lynn "Donnie" Morris, 72, of Union City passed away 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Scott Johnson, Jerry Hatchett, Joe Wayne Heathcock, Jeremy Morris, James Gibson, Jason Gibson, John David Morris and Brian Pendergrass.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Wounded Warrior Project.
Donnie was born January 2, 1950, in Union City, son of Wilma (Presson) Morris of Union City and the late James Avery Morris. He married Glenda (Caudle) Morris March 17, 2005. She survives. Donnie had been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Company and the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company both for over twenty years. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict in the 9th infantry regiment manchus and the 25th infantry division. Donnie was a member of Jones Walker VFW Post 4862 in Union City. He attended Lake Road Baptist Church near Union City.
He is also survived by three daughters, Adrienne Shell (Scott) of Union City, Angie Roney (Ronie) of Rives and Carolyn Grady of Springfield; one son, Harold Grady (Misty) of Westmoreland; four grandchildren, Jordan Martin (Mary Beth) of Hickory, Kentucky, Peyton Cooley (Kelsey) of Union City, Skylar Shell (Holden King) of Troy and Jonathan Shell of Union City; two great grandchildren, Silas Martin and Jasper Martin; two brothers, Ronnie Morris (Kathy) of Cookville and David Morris (Carol) of Union City; and one sister, Linda Jernigan (Tom) of Union City.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Clayton Lynn Morris; and one brother, Gary Morris.
