Donald Raymon "Don" Boe, 88, of Union City passed away 10:18 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at his home.
Private graveside services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Eddie Cassetty officiated.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boe was born January 4, 1930, in Irene, South Dakota, son of the late Harry and Hazel (Mattison) Boe. He married Jane (Noelle) Boe August 18, 1957. She survives. Donald was a beloved husband, father and papa. He was a farmer, electrician and carpenter. Donald served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he received the purple heart. He was a quiet man, known always for having a smile on his face and ready to work. Donald was a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City.
He is also survived by two daughters, Beth (Jim) Smith of Rives and Lisa (Dewayne) Richards of Union City; three grandchildren, Chad (Hillary) Richards of Lakeland, Lauren (Gatlin) Hatchel of Memphis and Drake (Morgan) Richards of Union City; two great grandchildren, Blayne Richards and Flynn Richards both of Lakeland; one brother, Robert Boe of Yankton, South Dakota; and one sister, Betty Hafner of Volin, South Dakota.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Neil Boe; and one sister, Doris Christensen.
