Obituary

Mr. Dickie Swindle, 71, of Union City passed away 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Mark Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Pallbearers will be Austin Roach, Christian Roach, Russ Thomas, Joey Barker, Mark Breeden and Clancy Wright.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Dickie was born December 9, 1948, in Sikeston, Missouri, son of the late A.D. and Blanche (Godwin) Swindle. He retired as a sergeant with the Northwest Tennessee Correctional Facility in Tiptonville and was a member of First Assembly of God in Union City. Dickie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Jones Walker Post 4862 Veteran's of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Western Sun Masonic Lodge in Troy, the Union City Masonic Lodge and the Al Chymia Shrine Club.

He is survived by his companion, Cary Gray of Union City; three stepdaughters, Kim Hoffman of Union City, Le Ann Bracewell (Terry) of Florida and Jennifer Bratton of Troy; one stepson, Matt Hoffman (Connie) of Union City; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Weaks, Betty Orr and Monita Alexander.
