Diana June Gilliland, 70, of Union City passed away 3:48 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at her home after a long illness.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday at East View Cemetery. Brother Chip Davis will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Justin Baker, Chris Ellis, Timothy Halliburton, Mason Powell, Michael Brinkley and Peter Thomas.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Diana was born December 9, 1948, in Union City, daughter of the late J.C. and Betty Rose (Ransom) Gilliland. She had been employed as a certified nurse's assistant at Union City Manor and in home health in Obion County. Diana was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Brinkley, Laura Jones (Keith) all of Union City and Susan Powell (Anthony) of Odenville, Alabama; one son, Tommy Halliburton of Troy; one sister, Patricia Smith Thomas (Peter) of South Fulton; one brother, James Gilliland (Phyllis) of the Shawtown community; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Marie Moore; and one brother, Carl Gilliland.
