Mr. Elison Dee Staggs, 69, of Union City went home to be with the Lord 7:27 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Manna Ministries near Union City. Sister Ruth Green and Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Manna Ministries from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Rodriguez, Ricky Joe Staggs, Randy Turner, Nick Staggs, Jared Jonas, Jonathan Jonas, Wesley Walden, Jr., and Harlan Bennett.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dee was born August 4, 1946, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, son of the late Horace Mann and Ernie (Mitchell) Staggs. He married Janice "Jan" (Estes) Staggs June 28, 1974. She survives. Dee enjoyed fishing, woodcarving, and listening to his family play music. He was a retired employee of the Obion County Highway Department and was a member of Manna Ministries.

He is also survived by two sons, Bryan Staggs and his wife Jamie Staggs of Union City and Josh Staggs and his wife Krista Staggs of Troy; one granddaughter, Allison Grace Staggs of Troy; two sisters, Caroline "Caralou" Turner of Hornbeak and Peggy Rodriguez and her husband Claudie Rodriguez of Tiptonville; and three brothers, Elmer Staggs and his wife Brenda Staggs of Tiptonville, Billy Staggs and his wife Alice Faye Staggs and Bobby and Pam Staggs all of Hornbeak.
