Debbie
Hitesman
October 23, 1952 – February 4, 2025
Mrs. Debra "Debbie" Gay Hitesman, 72, of Union City went home to be with the Lord 1:07 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sunswept Baptist Church. Brother Ralph Winters will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Sunswept Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Jere Harrison, Rob Hitesman, Brad Hitesman, Drew Powell, Ronnie Robinson and Willie Bell.
Debbie was born October 23, 1952, in Mineola, Texas, daughter of the late Tom and Rogene (Metcalf) Belcher. She married Brother Larry Hitesman April 9, 1979. He passed away July 28, 2016. She was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church where she loved her church family. Debbie was known for her unwavering generosity. If you knew her, then you have been touched by her willingness to give everything she had and often times more than she had. She happily cleaned friends' houses for 32 years, mainly to spend time with them and know she had made their lives a little easier in some small way. Debbie's joy came from knowing her kids were saved, safe, and happy. Beyond that, she wanted for nothing. Today she would ask you to celebrate her reunion with her best friend Jesus and the absolute love of her life Larry.
She is survived by two daughters, Mandy Powell (Andrew) of Union City and Jenny Payne of Jackson; two sons, Rob Hitesman (Terri) of Hickman, Kentucky and Brad Hitesman of Sherman, Texas; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Hitesman, Emma Hitesman, Harrison Hitesman, Mika Harrison (Jay), Drew Powell and Annie Payne; one great grandson, Silas Harrison; and one sister, Bobbie Bronsell of Houston, Texas.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, T.J. Belcher; and one sister, Louise LaPointe.
