Mr. William Dean Moss, 70, of Union City passed away 1:50 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Terry English will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rives.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Fennell, Keith Forrester, Ed Thornton, John Harris, David White and Greg White.

Dean was born November 8, 1944, in Union City, son of the late Henry Wade and Wilma Nell (Keiser) Moss. He was a retired instrument technician at the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City and was a founding member of the Aqua Knights Scuba Diving Club. Mr. Moss was a member of Rives Union Church where he was a faithful worker in the church and had served in many capacities. He was a United States Air Force veteran serving in the Vietnam War and served in strategic command at Beale Air Force Base in California.
He is survived by one son, Brad Moss of Union City; one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Edward Jones of Obion; one stepson and his wife, Donald and Misty Townsend of Union City; one sister, Marti Eakin Doss of Union City; and two step grandchildren, Lynn Townsend and Cayanne Townsend both of Union City.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Carson Wade Moss.
