Obituary

Dawn Michelle Thompson, 41, of Union City went home to be the Lord 4:20 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2019, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church. Pastor Justin Hiens will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Second Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Marty Lannom, Brad Moon, Brian Burcham, Brad Boucher, Stevie Brown, Brent Petty and Jason Allen.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38148-0142 or Junior Diabetes Research Foundation , 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, New York 10004.

Dawn was born October 21, 1978, in St Mary's Ohio, daughter of Bob and Cheryl (Case) Haskell of Troy. She was employed as a certified pharmacy technician at Kizer Pharmacy in Union City. Dawn was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

She is also survived by her husband, Greg Thompson of Union City; her son, Cameron Thompson of Union City; two sisters, Wendy Rice (Brandon) and Julia Armstrong all of Union City; one brother, Chad Haskell (Jennifer) of Danville, Virginia; four nephews, Justin Rice, Jeremy Rice, and Bentley Smith all of Union City and Seth Haskell of Danville, Virginia; and many friends, including a dear friend, John Sutton of Union City.
