David Carnell Sims, 54, of Union City passed away unexpectedly 10:45 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at his home.

David was a wrestling commentator at TIWF in Trenton. He enjoyed wrestling and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Maxl "Mack" Sims and Angelena "Angie" (Johnson) Sims; two sisters, Lena Maxine Hunter and Melinda Sims; and three brothers, Joe Sims, Randy Lee Sims and Tim Sims.

David is survived by his wife, Angela Tippitt of Union City; one daughter, Alexis Sims of Union City; two sons, William Barnes of Henning and Zachery Bates of Union City; one brother, Jimmy Sims (Karen) of Fulton, Kentucky; and seven grandchildren.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
