James David Quinton, 77, of Troy passed away 6:19 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy. Brother Rick Roberts will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Harrah's Hope Lodge , 718 Union Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38103.

David was born June 19, 1944, in Obion County son of the late Robert Farris and Josephine (Barnes) Quinton. He married Barbara (Dotson) Quinton July 25, 1964. She survives. David retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 31 years of service and was a farmer. He was a member of Troy First Baptist Church.

He is also survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Kim and Rainey Gibson of Jackson and Jennifer Quinton of Troy; one son, Tommy Quinton of Troy; and one grandson and his wife, Morgan and Elizabeth Quinton of Clarksville.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Sally Jo Goggans; and one brother, Bobby Quinton.
