Obituary

Mr. David Farris Perry, 73, of South Fulton passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday at Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton, Kentucky. Gordon Sawyers will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Brad Isbell, David Barnes, Alex Cochran, Braden Isbell, Paul Wayne Cunningham and Barry Rozzell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Barnes, Davis Cochran, Larry Joyner, Nathan Carter, Steve Greer, Olin Covington, Paul House, Terry Outland, Jimmy Stephens, Mickey Whitlock, Ron Williams, David Whitlock, Tommy Redden, Richard Jackson, Justus Willett, David Holland and Don Lyonhurst.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or New Pathways for Children .

David was born May 5, 1950, in Union City, son of the late Everett Thurman and Norma (Cannon) Perry.  He married Joyce (Forehand) Perry August 22, 1970. She passed away October 12, 2022. He worked for ICG Railroad for 30 years and was a member of Knob Creek Church of Christ in Dukedom.  David loved working on his farm where he raised cattle and horses.

He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Isbell (Brad) of Lexington and Elaine Barnes (David) of Paducah, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Alex Cochran (Casey) of Milan, Braden Isbell of Lexington, Angel Overcast of Tyler, Texas, Makayla Overcast of Paducah, Kentucky, Noah Barnes of Paducah, Kentucky and Olivia Barnes of Paducah, Kentucky; two great grandchildren, Steely Ward and Davis Cochran both of Milan.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Darrel Perry and Glen Perry.
