David Scarborough, Jr., 35, of Woodland Mills died 12:40 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Regional Hospital at Memphis of injuries received in a accident in Weakley County on Wednesday night.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland, Brother Billy Uzzle and Brother Danny Zickefoose will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Koon, Brian Richard, Joey Nelson, Mike Phipps, Chase Taylor, Travis McCloud, Ryan Amberg and Dan Blakely.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Fulton County, Kentucky Sheriff's Department, Bill Barr, Chucky Moran, Brandon Adams, Robbie Orsborne, Joey Faulkner, Devin Daniels, Jake Jeffries, Gerald Ray Gantt, Patrick Ulmer, Ricky Parnell and employees of Allen's Towing Service.
David was born May 10, 1977, in Union City, son of Theolinda (King) Scarborough of Woodland Mills and David Scarborough, Sr. of Atlanta, Georgia. He married Lee Ann (Eakes) Scarborough July 7, 2008. She survives. He was the owner and operator of Scarborough's Towing and Recover in Union City and a 1995 graduate of Obion County Central High School. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is also survived by his three children, Mendi Brooke Scarborough of Union City and Katilin Sills and Josh Sills both of Woodland Mills; his step-mother, Donna Scarborough of Atlanta, Georgia; his sister and brother-in-law, Delinda (Scarborough) and Rob Goad of Martin; his brother and sister-in-law, Trent and Kristina Scarborough of Plainfield, Illinois; his grandmother, Verdie Scarborough of Union City; his mother-in-law, Betty Eakes of Woodland Mills; his father-in-law, David Eakes of Hickman, Kentucky; and his uncles and aunts, Dennis and Georgianna Scarborough and Denise Scarborough all of Union City, Donna and Mike Phipps of Woodland Mills and Debbie and Frank Moseley of Martin; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Liz King and Norman Scarborough; and two uncles, Lance King and Bill King, Jr.
