Mr. David Fern Hamilton, 87, of Union City passed away 11:02 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Mr. Hamilton was born October 25, 1928, in Wolcott, Indiana, son of the late Robert Taylor and Jennie Louise (Harwell) Hamilton. He was a retired carpenter and was a active member of the Obion County Senior Citizens Center. Mr. Hamilton served in the United States Army during World War II and the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He is survived by three daughters, Sarah Jane Jackson of Rome, Georgia, Susan Marie Wishard of Saugus, California and Sally Jo Defabio of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Ruth Wildin of Mesa, Arizona; and four grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
