David Allen Bruen, 64, of Samburg passed away 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. B.J. Cohn will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Leon Thompson, Chance Basham, Ricky Dugger, Craig Dugger, Jordan Davis, Tim Burress, Richie Thompson and Danny Taylor.

David was born October 23, 1956, in Stuart, Florida, son of the late Paul Bruen, Sr. and the late Lucy (Hertel) Pike. He had been employed as an equipment operator for Ford Construction Company.

He is also survived by his long time girlfriend, Debbie Gilbert "Gooch" of Samburg; three daughters and one son-in-law, Shannon and Brian Bartz of Samburg, Sarah Bruen of West Palm Beach, Florida and Sandra Bruen of Akron, Ohio; one son, David Bruen, Jr. of Samburg; one sister, Tammy Overton of Port St. Lucie, Florida; two brothers, Royce Tatum of Jensen Beach, Florida and Larry Tatum of Stuart, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Paul Bruen, Jr.; and one sister, Theresa Bruen.
