Mr. Darren Keith Cates, 55, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at his home. He was a former resident of Obion County.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2021, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Family and friends will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Darren was born December 28, 1965, in Union City, son of the late Charlie Cates and Hida (Forrester) and Cloyd Ash of Union City. He was a U.S. Army veteran and diesel mechanic for R & L Carriers.

He is also survived by one daughter, Shenna Carson (Christopher) of Rives; two grandchildren, River Carson and Lettie Carson both of Rives; four sisters, Tracy Denton of Union City, Ginger Adams (Randy) of Trenton, Lisa Sanderson of Memphis and Linda Ash of Memphis; one brother, Eric Cates (Angel) of Milan; and his grandmother, Geneva Forrester of Union City.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Stacey Ash; grandfather, Leroy Forrester; and two uncles, Franklin Forrester and Walter Forrester.
