Darrell A. Dugger, 84, of Union City passed away 8:49 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at The Waters of Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Shawn White will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Russell, Jenkins Burnside, Dr. Chris Gooch, George Crum and deacons of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.
Darrell was born December 24, 1938, in Obion County, son of the late J.B. and Verna (Barnes) Dugger. He married Patsy (McCollum) Dugger January 3, 1981. She survives. Darrell served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963 where he obtained the rank of E5. He was stationed in France and New Orleans. Darrell was a retired electrician and was the owner and operator of the former Dugger Electric Service. He enjoyed flying and was a licensed pilot for over 60 years. Darrell was a Cumberland Presbyterian and had attended Woodland Mills First Baptist Church where he was also a member of the Soaring Eagles Sunday School Class.
He is also survived by two stepsons, Bob Peal and wife Jeanne of Kingsport and Barry Peal of Tiptonville; three step grandsons, Travis Peal and wife Chanda of Troy and Erich Bain and wife Karli of Allen, Texas and Walter Bain and wife Tiffany of Spring Hill; eight step great grandchildren; one sister, Linda White and husband Carl of Fripp Island, South Carolina; five brothers, Bobby Dugger and wife Jane and Donald Dugger and wife Katrina all of Troy, John Earl Dugger and wife Janice of Collierville, Charles Dugger and wife Carolyn of Mason and David Dugger and wife Renee' of Fripp Island, South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Betty Gallimore and husband Gary of Eads; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Dugger; and two infant sisters.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to The Wounded Warrior Project , St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Woodland Mills First Baptist Church , 211 Jones Street, Union City, Tennessee 38261.
