Danny Owens' Obituary
Mr. Robert Danny Owens, 64 of Gilbert, South Carolina passed away 3:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at his home. He was a former resident of Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Michael Owens, Brian Owens, Nathan Owens, Chris Ford, Farris Duncan and Jerry Duncan.
Danny was born December 16, 1953, in Northville, Michigan, to the late Robert Johnson Owens and the late Noville (Eason) Owens Higgins. He graduated from Austin Peay University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering in 1996. Danny was an electrical engineer for over thirty years.
He is survived by two sons, Joshua Owens of Washington D.C., and Justin Owens of Nashville; two sisters, Wanda Barr (Bill) of Union City, and Cheryl Merrell of Gilbert, South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Ray Owens, and James Milton Owens.
