Mr. Danny Franklin Black, 69, of Union City passed away 11:33 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Murray, Kentucky at the home of his fiancé, Holly Bray.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Ken Hogg will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

Danny was born June 15, 1951, in Union City, son of the late Frank Black and Nell (Crowell) Black Collins. He worked for the Union City Fire Department for 33 years before retiring in 2005.

He is also survived by two daughters, Samantha Black (fiancé, Deandre Harmon) of Union City and Dee Black of Union City; three sons, Chesley Thomas, Alex Thomas and Bill Bray all of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Baylon and Christon McClure both of Union City and Elijah and Brysen Harmon both of Union City and their Granny, Toni Mayfield of Saltillo, Tennessee; and many cousins.

He also leaves behind two aunts, Nancy Black Tuner of Rogersville, Tennessee and Mary Webb Crowell of Union City, who watched over him and saw him become a man to help anyone.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Debra Word.
