Mr. Daniel O'Blair "Dan" Chadwick, 75, of Martin passed away 7:31 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2021, at his home.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Edmaiston Mosley is in charge of arrangements.

Dan was born February 19, 1946, in Chicago, son of the late James Howard Chadwick and Audrey Marthena (Strickland) Tully. He married Lisa (Todd) Chadwick July 16, 2005. She survives. He was a veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard from 1964-1970 and also invented the Ocean Mop in 2010 used in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

He is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer Brown (Gordy) of Martin and Savannah Sudzum of Martin; one son, Scott Chadwick (Sandy) of Texas; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and his father-in-law, David Todd (Kim) of Sharon.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
