Dale Townsend's Obituary
Mr. Dale Townsend, 64, of Union City passed away 12:27 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Sam Swanson will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.
Pallbearers will be Paul Phelps, Sisca Yates, Doug Rial, Jimmy Slaughter, Trent Robertson, Greg Rose and Ralph Jamison.
Dale was born April 16, 1954, in Union City, son of Minnie Louise (Hall) Townsend of Union City and the late Billy Townsend, Jr.
He married Shannon (Yates) Townsend September 7, 1982. She survives. Dale had been the owner and operator of the former Melody Music in Union City.
He is also survived by one sister, Judy Gardner of South Fulton; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Zadonna and Doug Rial of Greenfield; two nieces, Kimberly Slaughter of Union City and Bridgette Mullins of Martin; one nephew, Jimmy Workman of South Fulton; one great niece, Hailey Slaughter of Union City; one great nephew, Garrett Slaughter of Union City; and his brother-in-law and wife, Sisca and Christie Yates of South Fulton.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Julie Townsend.
