Dale Hugh Owens, 84, of Union City passed away 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022, AHC Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Shane Long will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Dale was born November 8, 1937, in Obion County, son of the late Cecil Chloye and Bessie (Smith) Owens. He married Brenda (Mathenia) Owens May 13, 1974. Dale had been employed as a truck driver and was a member of First Assembly of God in Union City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Owens of Union City; one daughter, Paula Henderson (Dwight) of Clarksville; three sons, Darrell Owens (Sabrina) of Paris, David Nolan (Carol) of South Fulton and Robert Owens (Lajada) of Troy; two sisters, Nancy Davis of Woodland Mills and Valorie Johnson of Union City; five brothers, David Owens (Easter) and Tommy Owens (Linda) all of Union City, Chuck Owens (Sharon) of Woodland Mills, George Owens (Molly) of O'Fallon, Missouri and Jim Owens (Sue) of Gadsden, Alabama; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ann Cook; and two brothers, Gene Owens and Cecil Owens.
