Mr. Craig Thornton, 59, of Union City died 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home . Brother Darrell Hoffman will officiate.

Mr. Thornton was born December 31, 1949, in Union City, Tn., son the late John William and Polly (Keiser) Latimer. He had been a mechanic all of his life and worked for Union City Parts (NAPA®).

He is survived by one son, Chad Thornton of Union City, one daughter, Sandy McCoy of Hornbeak, one sister, Andy Kay Anderson of Union City, one brother, Ed Thornton of Union City and two grandchildren, Chelcy Pitts and Evan Pitts both Hornbeak.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Edmaiston – Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Pallbearers to serve will be family and friends.
