James Cory Lane, 30, of Union City passed away 7:20 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2019, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Scott Bloodworth will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Pallbearers will be Rick Clowser, Chad Dawson, Justin Wiles, Chase Adams, Lee Johnson, Steven Herane, Jason Miller, Trip Robey and Lee Johnson.

Cory was born November 10, 1988, in Union City, son of Jamie Lane-Cranford of Union City. He was employed by J & J Construction.

He is also survived by his four children, Sean Lane, Addi Lane, Coralee Lane and Journi Lane all of Union City; his stepfather, Dennis Cranford of Union City; honorary fathers, Phillip Brashier of Milan and J.C. Pruett of Union City; one brother, Ethan Pruett of Union City; two stepsisters, Raegan Cranford and Sydney Cranford both of Union City; his grandparents, Kathy and Ed Southern of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
