Cora Epperson's Obituary
Ms. Cora Alice "Gran" Epperson, 69, of Hornbeak passed away 5:06 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Dale Batchelor will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Mike Henderson, Shawn Stover, Brad Woody, Larry Mitchell, Jr., Harold Burton and Greg Pollock.
Ms. Cora was born December 28, 1948, in Hazard, Ky., daughter of the late Woodson Hurt and Nancy (Deaton) Williams. She worked as a cook for over 20 years at Bestway in Hornbeak and attended the Hornbeak Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Sullivan and Timmy Vancleave of Hornbeak; one son, John and Gina Epperson of Hornbeak; five grandchildren, Chasity Smith of Union City, C.J. Sullivan of Troy, Rianna Farneti of Hornbeak, Jordan Epperson of Troy and Johnna Epperson of Hornbeak; four great grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Harrison of Fort Wayne, In. and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
