Mrs. Conet Colwill, 102, of the Shawtown community died 7:45 a.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rick Burton will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery in York, Pennsylvania.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Mrs. Colwill was born January 18, 1912, in Blount County, Alabama, daughter of the late Arvel Crawford Smith Jr. and the late Naomi Buena Vista (Kerr) Smith. She married Richard Henry Colwill December 12, 1935. He died December 14, 1997. Mrs. Colwill was a retired social worker and a member of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Logan of the Shawtown community; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Richard and Kathy Colwill of Berwyn, Pennsylvania and Dr. William Henry and Karen Colwill of Bethany Beach, Delaware; eight grandchildren, Geneva (Logan) Storey of Union City, Roy Shaw Logan, Jr. of the Dixie community, Paula Elaine Logan of Chattanooga, Dr. Jessica Brown Colwill of Portsmouth, Virginia, Rev. Sarah Aileen Colwill of Oreland, Pennsylvania, Caroline Denise Colwill of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Jane Katharine Colwill of Manhattan, New York and Dr. James Ronald Colwill of Long Beach, California; and nine great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Anne Cordelia Colwill and Thomas Shaw Logan, Sr.; two sisters, Jenette Cole and Geneva Smith; and two brothers, Wilmer Smith and Arvel Smith III.
