Clyde Junior Rudd, 76, of Hornbeak died Sept. 1, 2011, at his home due to a tractor accident.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Troy First Baptist Church . Dr. Vann Kissell and the Revs. Charles Southerland and John Poor will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.
Pallbearers will be Shaun Bailey, Kyle Bailey, Cameron Bailey, Jeremy Northam, Adrian Lattus, Ryan Matheny, Reed Matheny, Dustin Ray, Walker Miller, Patrick Pentergast, Montana Powell, Brian Stacks and Lane Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Albright, Raymond Reedy, Johnny Guy, David Sanders, Charles Barnes, Randy Barnes, Stacy Rudd and Billy Staggs.
Mr. Rudd was born March 20, 1935, in Obion County, son of the late Henry Harrison and Florence Mai (Lee) Rudd. He married the former Joan Reed Sept. 20, 1974. She survives. He was a retired truck driver for the former Holloway Construction Co. and a member of Troy First Baptist Church.
He is also survived by seven daughters and six sons-in-law, Shelby and Jerry Bailey and Kristi and Travis Johnson, all of Troy, Tremenda and Butch Dillon of Hutchinson, Kansas, Brenda and Mark Adams of Sedalia, Kentucky, Patricia and Bill Mathis of Montalba, Texas, Betty Rudd of Martin and Karen and Darren Ray of Union City; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Rick and Dianne Matheny of Cedar Grove and Tim Rudd of Union City; his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Dalton Moran of Union City; nineteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Georgia Goodman; and three brothers, R.C. Rudd, L.T. Rudd and Bobby Rudd.
