Obituary

Clarence Moore, 72, of Union City passed away 5:40 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2022, at his home.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Clarence was born December 22, 1949, in New Madrid, Missouri, son of the late Albert Merlin and Wanda (Byerly) Moore. He married Marylan (Ethridge) Moore September 24, 1971. She survives. Clarence served two tours in the Vietnam War with the United States Marine Corps. He had been employed as a concrete truck driver for the former Forcum Lannom in Obion and was a retired employee of the Obion County Highway Department. Clarence was an avid fisherman and was a christian and had rededicated his life to the Lord on Good Friday of this year. He dearly loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joanna and Richmond Vick of Bradford; one son and daughter-in-law, Scotty and Karen Moore of the Minnick community; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Moore and Chris Stephenson both of Union City, Dylan Moore and Brandon Stephenson both of Dresden, Taylor Vick of Bradford and Katelyn Dixon and Olivia Dixon both of the Minnick community; three great grandchildren, Katherine Stephenson, Joe Stephenson and Sabastain Canseco all of Union City; two sisters, Linda Moore of Buckner, Missouri and Paulette Vires of Monahans, Texas; and one brother, James "Mike" Moore of the Clayton community.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Burden and Louette Moore; and three brothers, Jimmie Moore, Albert Moore and George Moore.
