Mrs. Clara Nell Jones, 74, of the Crystal community died 2:15 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Manuel Cemetery. Brother Steve Carr will officiate.

Mrs. Jones was born July 21, 1934, in Obion County, daughter of the late Grover and Pearl (Keith) McQueen. She married Jessie Jones August 14, 1955. He survives. Mrs. Jones had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company for 19 years and at the former Just For You Florist and the former Bow Ks Florist. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and served as secretary and treasurer of the Mt. Manuel Cemetery Association.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Gretta and Jimmy Barnes of Trenton; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward J. and Susanne Jones of Obion; one sister, Justine Webb of Clinton, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Chris Barnes and Ron Barnes both of Trenton and Jessica Jones and Savannah Jones both of Obion; and two great grandchildren, Emma Barnes and Jackson Barnes both of Trenton.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet Cash and Lucy Powell and three brothers, Bill McQueen, Raymond McQueen and Bennie McQueen.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m Friday.

Pallbearers to serve will be Daniel Russell, Danny Elks, Jeff Jones, Randy Jones, Shane Henderson, Chris Henderson and Randy Barnes.
