Mrs. Cynthia Sue "Cindy" Dotson, 59, of Union City passed away suddenly Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Lake Road Baptist Church near Union City. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and at Lake Road Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Horace Dotson, Matt Dotson, Kenneth Mobbs, James King, Barry Lyell and Richard McGowan.

Cindy was born December 20, 1955, in Union City, daughter of the late Betty Sue (Gardiner) King. She married Fred Dotson April 16, 1971. He survives. Cindy served as chairperson for the Eagles children's Christmas toy drive for several years and was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church. She was the owner, operator and office manager of Mother Goose Academy in Union City.

She is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and William Downey of Ooltewah and Dawn and Stevie Bratton of Union City; eight grandchildren, Kristi Downey and Lizzie Downey both of Ooltewah, and Alexis Roberson, Parker McGowan, Emma Claire Bratton, Wyatt Bratton, Kamdyn Bratton and Brayden Bratton all of Union City;
one sister, Teresa Lewis of Camden; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe and Dorothy Dotson of Union City, Dorsey and Faye Dotson of Lakeland, Florida and Horace and Lou Dotson of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.
