Christopher C. "Chris" Taylor, 50, of Union City passed away 9:50 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, at his home. He had been fighting cancer since December 2021.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

Graveside services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Pounds-Idlewild Cemetery in Idlewild. Brother Ben Lownsdale will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Ted Perry, Chad Odle, Brian Hale, David Lusk, Mark Coleman and David Eaves.

Chris was born December 28, 1971, in Union City, son of Cloney and Joyce (Baker) Taylor of Union City. He married Chasity Rea (Eaves) Taylor who survives. Chris enjoyed fishing, golf and antiquing. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City.

He is also survived by three children, Brittany Taylor of Union City and Benjamin Taylor and Carley Kate Taylor both of Chattanooga; his granddaughter, Lauren Manus of Troy; his sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Brad Boyd of Martin; and his niece, Chelsea Boyd of Oxford, Mississippi.
