Obituary

Mrs. Charlotte Hicks Fuller, 88, passed away on September 26, 2024 at Heritage Hospice House in Marietta, Georgia.

Charlotte was born on September 22, 1936 in Troy, Tennessee to Thelbert and Hettie Faye Hicks on their farm in Obion County. Charlotte was a retired nurse with the Union City Baptist Memorial Hospital and a faithful member of the Community Baptist Church in Union City.

Charlotte had a passion for basketball. It all began with the Union City Golden Tornadoes, where she didn't miss a high school game for years. The Golden State Warriors were the only pro team she would watch, as they were the only team that knew how to win. She loved all animals of all types and would go out of her way to spend time with them. When she moved to Georgia in 2021 she became a resident at Cottonwood Independent Living in Alpharetta where she served as an Ambassador to new residents. She truly enjoyed welcoming them and helping them become settled in their new home. One of her hobbies was arts and crafts. She enjoyed macrame when younger and took part in all of the classes offered at Cottonwood from painting to wreath making. Residents at Cottonwood knew Charlotte as The Southern Girl.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter Shirley Fuller (Karen Drewery) of Alpharetta, Georgia; daughter Pamela Fuller Humphreys (Bill) of Wichita, Kansas; three grandchildren; Jennifer Hardee of Cross Plains, Tennessee, Whitney Thomas (Levi) of Wichita, Kansas, and Adam Humphreys of Sun City, Arizona, and 3 great grandchildren, Kendryk Slay, Kayden Slay, and Quinn Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; daughter, Lisa Fuller; parents, Thelbert and Hettie Faye, and sisters, Pearl and Mary; brothers, Dolph, Harris, Kenny, George, Charles, Frank Ray and TJ.

Memorial Services will be conducted Tuesday, October 29th at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home in Union City. Brother Eddie Mallonee will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you enjoy one of Charlotte's favorite pleasures in life, watching a Warriers basketball game while eating a piece of cherry pie.
