Charlotte Wells Franklin, 69, of the Pleasant Hill community passed away 6:45 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at her home.

Memorial services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Brother Truitt Cockrell will officiate.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Charlotte was born July 23, 1953, in Houston, Texas, daughter of the late E.O. and Virginia Louise (Hazlewood) Wells. She was the widow of Richard Franklin who preceded her in death October 24, 2017. Charlotte retired as payroll secretary after 20 years of service with Vowell & Sons in Martin. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one son, Adam Stephens and wife Lanna of the Pleasant Hill community; five grandchildren, Isabella Grace Stephens of Union City, Jenna Hicks and Emrie Hicks both of the Pleasant Hill community and Ava Reese Clark and Devin Jay Stephens both of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one great grandson; and one brother, Ronnie Wells and wife Toni of Martin.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Stephens.
