Charles Ray Nichols, 78, of Lavinia passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at his home. He was a former resident of McEwen.

Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Cate Cemetery near Martin. Brother Steve Gatlin will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Charles was born January 3, 1947, in Tiptonville, son of the late Garvin and Minnie (McNulty) Nichols. He married Sandra Gayle (Jones) Nichols in 1983. She preceded him in death May 21, 2008. Charles was a retired truck driver and a member of Bethel P.H. Worship Center in McEwen.\

He is survived by three daughters, April Nichols Smith of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Robin Wilson (Don) of Westchester, Illinois and Jenny Baker (Jimmy) of Cypress, Illinois; one sister, Pat Brady (Chris) of Union City; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela Studivant Trawick and Donna Love; one son, Charlie Nichols; and his siblings, Buddy Nichols, Thomas Nichols, Carolyn Gatlin, Paul Nichols, Ruth Baker and Betty Lou Breeden.
