Obituary

Charles Delbert Hensley, 79, of Rives passed away 8:00 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2018, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother David Hensley, Brother Chris Brady and Brother Robert Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rives.

Pallbearers will be Robert Hensley, Chuck Brady, David Hensley, Curtis Hensley, B.J. Morris and Zach Hensley.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Charles was born November 29, 1938, in Linden, Tennessee, son of the late Woodrow and Julia (Stephens) Hensley. He married MayBell (Connell) Hensley December 21, 1955. She survives. Charles was a retired electrician for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City. He had also been an instructor at the Tennessee Technology Center in Union City and was the owner of Hensley Honey Farm for over 50 years. Charles was of the Christian faith.

He is also survived by two daughters, Darlene Morris (Billy) and Angie Simbeck (Rick) all of Union City; three sons, Donnie Hensley (Bonnie) of Gadsden, Alabama, Ronnie Hensley (Stephanie) of Union City and Billy Hensley of Obion; ten grandchildren, Robert Hensley, Chuck Brady, Loretta Scott, Marsha Underwood, Shari Screen, David Hensley, Misty Clark, Curtis Hensley, B.J. Morris and Zach Hensley; three sisters, Wilma Brown of Hohenwald, Mary Haynes of Dyersburg and Rebecca Beaver of Brownsville; two brothers, Verner Hensley of Dyersburg and Paul Hensley of Union City; and several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Brady; two sons, Tony Hensley and Roger Hensley; and three sisters, Shirley Raymer, Sandra Brown and Norma Cox.
