Obituary

Mr. Charles F. Dickens, Jr., 85, of Martin went home to be with the Lord 7:15 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2020, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at East View Cemetery. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate.

Pallbearers will be family members and Guy Robbins

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Sunday.

Charles was born March 21, 1935, in Daviess County, Kentucky, son of the late Charles and Malissa Ellen (Blair) Dickens. He married Faye (Hibbard) Dickens January 30, 1960. She survives. Charles retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in management after 39 ½ years of service. He then worked for Guy Robbins Nursery for 20 years. Charles was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City where he had served as a deacon. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Eddie Brown of Martin; two grandchildren, Brandyn Brown and Alyssa Brown both of Martin; one sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Billy Lindauer of Owensboro, Kentucky; and one brother and sister-in-law, John and Carolyn Dickens of Antioch, Illinois.

He was also preceded in death by of sister, Faye Leathem; and one brother, Hal Dickens.
